Enhanced Reporting
The nMetrics Application Monitor captures information about conversations across the network including:
- Time received
- Source and Destination IP Address
- IP Protocol Type (TCP, UDP, ICMP etc)
- Destination Port Number
- ToS Value To and From
- Octets To and From
- Network and Application Latency
This information is written to the database every five minutes to allow usage reports based on set parameters to be generated over time.

Volume History Report: shows bandwidth usage by individual host, subnet or site. Can also provide detail of specific application usage.

Total Volume Summary Report: provides a view of volume across multiple sites for a given time period. This can also be broken out by specific application.

Daily Volume Summary Report: provides a view of daily usage to a specific site or subnet for a specified period. This can also be generated for a specific application.

Application Distribution: shows the mix of applications (layer 4 port) or protocols (layer 3 identifier) for a specific site or subnet.

Application History: shows application (layer 4 port) usage over time for a specific site or subnet.

Top Talkers: shows top talkers for specific site or subnets. The stacked bar chart shows inbound and outbound data for each host. The associated table can also display DNS resolved names.

Conversation Summary: provides details of top conversations for a specific site, subnet or host. Conversation summaries can also be generated per application.

Latency Summary: provides details of network and application latency to a specific site, subnet or host. Latency summaries may also be generated per application.

ToS/QoS Usage: provides a breakdown of configured classes of service over time. ToS is measured per subnet or site on an inbound and outbound basis. It is also possible to generate a line graph of usage per specific class over time for a specified site or subnet.
